Frequently Asked Questions

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle form of manual therapy that uses light pressure and directional strokes to gently move fluid toward your lymph nodes so that the body can drain excess fluid naturally. This provides gentle support for your own lymphatic system to process waste products in your body. 

I do not bill insurance. This includes Medicare/Medicaid. All treatments are self-pay. I am happy to provide a superbill for completed and paid-in-full services but you are responsible for submitting documents to your insurance provider to request reimbursement. I cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed. You may need to receive a referral from a diagnosing provider. As a licensed massage therapist I am unable to diagnose you with any conditions or provide diagnostic information. 

Treatments start at $150 per session, depending on your needs and goals. You can book and pay in-full online in one step. 

I include all fees in your payment, so you don't have worry about fishing for your credit card while you are relaxed following your massage. Please be sure you are available for the time you book. 

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) does not affect body fat levels. It helps relieve excess fluid or water retention in your body. It may temporarily smooth the appearance of cellulite, but only water is eliminated through MLD massage. 

This will depend on your individual needs and goals. Post-op clients may need several sessions per week immediately following surgery, while those receiving full-body wellness or detox massage may choose to try weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions. I am glad to discuss and create a custom treatment plan for you at your appointment based on your needs and individual goals. 

Please wear something comfortable. You will be undressed to your comfort level and draped with sheets and blankets for modesty and warmth for the duration of your session. 

In the case of a medical or personal emergency, I am happy to reschedule your appointment on a one-time basis. No-shows will not be rescheduled. If you have an emergency and need to reschedule, please text me as soon as possible.

I'm so glad you asked! Please be sure to arrive well-hydrated. Avoid alcohol and heavy meals prior to your session. Plan to relax and rest following your session, and you may need to urinate more often than usual for a few hours after your session.
